Film "Whether or not you believe - Είτε πιστεύεις είτε όχι"

They can be seen in the whole of Greece: the small and humble structures along the roadsides dedicated to a saint. Most of them are erected to the memory of a beloved, killed in a car accident. They are called proskynitaria and each of them has its own story.
This dutch documentary (2007) by Barbara Meter and Wim Oudshoorn (production and direction) tells us some of these stories and shows how the Greek people deal with death and what role religion plays in everyday life. It was presented during the filmfestival “AGON 2008” in Athens.
